Keshav Deodhar has always believed that behind every legal case, there is a real person with a real story that deserves to be told well and fought for completely. That belief has guided him from his earliest days volunteering with disadvantaged communities, through years of criminal defense work in public defender offices, and into his work at Rafi Law Group, where he is committed to helping injured clients pursue the justice and compensation they deserve.
Attorney Deodhar earned his Bachelor's degree from Wake Forest University in 2012 and his Juris Doctor from American University Washington College of Law in 2016. His legal career took root in criminal defense, where he spent years working in public defender offices and developing the skills that define his practice today: listening carefully to his clients' accounts, reviewing evidence with a sharp and critical eye, crafting compelling legal arguments, and finding the path forward in cases that others might write off too soon. His commitment to helping others extends well beyond the courtroom, too. From tutoring disadvantaged youth to volunteering at St. Mary's Food Bank and helping feed the unhoused in his community, service has been a constant thread throughout his life.
Attorney Deodhar was drawn to personal injury law for the same reason he was drawn to public defense: the chance to genuinely help people who are navigating one of the hardest experiences of their lives. What he values most about being part of our team is the culture of mentorship and continuous learning through the opportunity to be surrounded by experienced attorneys who are generous with their knowledge and invested in each other's growth.
Outside of work, Attorney Deodhar is an avid chess player and a writer, having explored both fiction and nonfiction, including pieces on legal topics and Supreme Court decisions. He has a fondness for scary stories and folklore, and he lives by the philosophy that the will to prepare to win matters far more than the will to win itself.
